Staedtler Mars Lumograph Pencils 

While I convert a lot of my work into more precise digital tech drawings, I still start and do the majority of my work via pencil and paper. Staedtler Mars Lumographsare still my pencils of choice. I’ve yet to find another pencil that has the same consistency of the Staedtler’s graphite, which is super-bonded so it doesn’t crumbled during sharpening or break easily when drawing. Still manufactured in Germany, Staedtler produces mechanical versions of their Mars series, I prefer the feel of holding wooden pencils. The signature blue is somehow comforting, and puts me in the mood to draw when I see it next to a stack of paper.
